The Akmenos and Jūros rivers observation tower, opened in the summer of 2023, has become a true attraction in the Tauragė region – in just under two months, it has already been visited by about 60 thousand travelers from both Lithuania and abroad. The tower, rising at the confluence of the two rivers, offers a picturesque panorama of the protected areas – Pagramantis regional park and Akmenos landscape reserve.

In interwar Tauragė, smaller museums were established in educational institutions: the Teachers’ Seminary and the School of Commerce. In the post-war years, teachers and cultural workers continued to collect historical and ethnographic material, folklore, and encouraged students to get to know their homeland. Since 1965 The Polytechnic Museum operated in Tauragė Castle. The Santaka Museum has been operating since 1990. September 1 At that time, the museologists consulted with the heads of schools and organizations about the transfer of their museum collections. The exhibits obtained formed the beginning of the sets. There are now more than 20,000 exhibits in the museum’s collection., Currently, Tauragė Region Museum “Santaka” consists of archeology, history, ethnography, nature expositions, a photo gallery, castle arts, and the “Tower of the Ages” full of innovations. Skaudvilė Region Museum, Alfonsas Čepauskas Art Gallery and the Exile and Resistance Museum are departments of Tauragė Region Museum.

In 1915, the Lauksargiai railway station was rebuilt, which at that time was a significant strategic object. Speaking of the station building itself, it can be said that the huge arched windows of the building and heavy wooden doors of two warehouses look impressive. The main station building housed a waiting hall, while the other buildings contained caretaker's apartments. Now a red brick building, it is a preserved object.

From 1865 to 1869, requests were made several times to the authorities for permission to build a new brick church, but only the renovation of the old one was allowed. In 1899, the wooden church was demolished, and in 1904, a new brick church was built. The church was damaged in 1915 and partially rebuilt after 1920. In 1941, the church was damaged again and remained unrestored until the end of the war. It was finally rebuilt in 1955 through the efforts of Father Jonas Beinoris, with the support and contributions of the parishioners. The church is historicist in style, featuring Neo-Romanesque and Classical elements, with a Latin cross plan, a five-sided apse, and a single octagonal tower. It has six altars.

Before the war, there were two windmills operating in the village of Kreivėnai, as these surroundings were particularly windy, and windmills were not built without reason. Along the Tauragė-Tilsit highway, towards Pagėgiai on the right side, you can see one of them, unfortunately, now an empty brick building. Beneath the cap-like brick windmill, two openings were installed, into which wagons with grain could be driven, and then leave with ground flour. Thus, Tauragė can boast of the only such windmill remaining in Lithuania.

The swamp formed in the location of pre-glacial seas and in the bed of a lake that still persisted during the post-glacial period and the beginning of the Holocene. The peat layer is 3–4 meters thick. The central part of the swamp is elevated 60 meters above sea level. There are hummocks (elevated areas) and hollows (depressed areas, with water seeping on their surface); the height difference is 0.3–0.6 meters. The length of the hollows is 2–10 meters, width – 3 meters. Along the edges of the Plynoji, common reed, tussock sedge, rushes, common cotton grass, marsh ragwort, tawny sedge, and among the trees, Scots pine predominates, nearer to the swamp center – common cranberry, Magellan's dwarf rush, tussock sedge, black crowberry, willow, round-leaved and long-leaved sundew, sundew, tussock cottongrass (listed in the Red Book), dwarf pines, curly birches. The swamp is home to black grouse, predatory buzzards, field pipits, cranes. There are deer. The Alanga, Krancia, and Vynija rivers flow out of the swamp., Installed (2003, updated in 2019) is the Plynoji Educational Trail (length 1.6 kilometers).
