Viešvilė Fish Ladder.

Viešvilės žuvitakis

For human economic needs, the first mill dam on the stream appeared as early as the 16th century. Later, their number increased to four, and currently, there are two. The dams disrupted the natural migration routes of fish, impoverishing the stream's fauna. The main goal of the fish ladder is to restore the salmonid fish stocks in the Viešvilė River by reestablishing their migration route to spawning grounds. The park near the fish ladder has become a recreational area for townspeople and visitors.
