When traveling along the road from Kaltinėnai to Upyna, travelers' attention is drawn to the picturesque Pagrybio Hillfort, also known as Skuburkalnis. This small hillfort is located on the edge of an upland on the left bank of the Akmena River. It features steep slopes ranging from 8 to 20 meters in height and a small oval platform with a low rampart on the southern edge. To the south of the hillfort lies a possible outwork and further defensive remnants to the north, in the bend of the Akmena River.
The external appearance and the artifacts found nearby suggest that the hillfort dates back to the beginning of the 2nd millennium BCE. The specifics of the fortifications are not well known, and it is unclear what exactly may have been present there, as the stronghold appears to be quite compact for its presumed role. There are 31 legends associated with the hillfort, though its historical and functional details remain somewhat mysterious.
