Panemunė Castle is a museum, gallery, park, art and design shop, bookstore, community market, hotel, restaurant, and also a center for artists and enthusiasts offering practice and relaxation, located in the former Salesian monastery nearby (hostel-style accommodation).
The castle museum features an exhibition of the interiors of the Dukes of Žemaitija’s representative apartments, with its distinctive value being the classical wall paintings. It also showcases the only surviving and restored 18th-century manor kitchen in Lithuania. Visitors can enjoy the castle park and the panoramic views of the Panemunė Regional Park from the 7-story castle tower. The historical spaces also house an art gallery displaying contemporary works by the Vilnius Academy of Arts community. Educational programs tailored for different age groups provide a deeper insight into manor heritage and art.
