The Aukštagirės Educational Trail is a 23 km long route designed to showcase the hilly landscapes of Žemaitija and introduce visitors to the natural and cultural treasures of the southern part of the Varnių Regional Park. The trail offers opportunities to explore several key features:
- Medvėgalio, Bilionių Landscape, and Aukštagirės Geomorphological Reserves: Experience the natural beauty and unique geological formations of these protected areas.
- Bilionių and Medvėgalio Historical and Archaeological Complexes: Discover historical and archaeological sites with rich cultural significance.
- Požerės Village Architecture: Admire the architectural heritage of this quaint village.
- Valuable Flora and Fauna Habitats: Observe diverse plant and animal life in their natural settings.
The trail is marked with signs and trail markers, and it loops back on itself, allowing for flexible access at different points. Most of the route follows gravel and asphalt roads, making it ideal for cycling excursions and picnics.
