The Bilionys Hillfort dates back to the period of wars with the Teutonic Knights. Its defensive features, including clearly visible terraced structures, give it the appearance of a stepped pyramid. The southern slope of the hill contains a rich cultural layer, with findings of textured pottery. The renowned archaeologist L. Kšivickis was so impressed by the Bilionys Hillfort that he described it as one of the most fascinating archaeological sites not only in Lithuania but also in the world.
