On July 19, the traditional Lumpėnai Village Summer Festival took place in Lumpėnai. Ligita Kazlauskienė, Deputy Mayor of Pagėgiai Municipality, who was standing in for the mayor, congratulated the residents of the ward. She expressed her joy at the active and tireless communities and residents of the ward, encouraging them to continue nurturing their region, helping one another, and working together to create a better future for all.
Lithuanian Parliament member Ričardas Juška also delivered a congratulatory speech. He presented awards to Gražina Jankauskienė and Jūratė Mažutienė, the leaders of Lumpėnai village communities, for their creativity, successful project activities, and efforts to improve the quality of life within the community, as well as for the preservation of cultural values.
During the ceremonial opening, newborns and the ward’s high school graduates were honored, and the winners of a darts competition between teams from the Pagėgiai Municipality wards were awarded. A photography exhibition by the late Eugenijus Skipitis, a respected public figure from the Pagėgiai region, was also presented. The event was further enhanced by performances from Pagėgiai region artists, a solo program by singer Airida Burkauskienė, and concerts by the groups "MIX" and "Bernužėliai."
